Great Room Additions
Many times the additional to a home becomes a great room. An open gathering space for family to relax, unwind and just be together. Getting that big open space can be a beautiful accomplishment with post and beam construction and timber beams.

Chapel Progress, Incredible!
The NEW Chapel for Holy Apostles is making incredible progress! OR should I say Sullivan Brothers and all their subcontractors are? Either way, this timber frame project is stunning and all involved are very happy.
Incredible Post and Beam Chapel
Vermont Timber Works is proud to have been chosen for the Chapel for Holy Apostles project. From the first visit with Jack Delaney, P.E. to meeting Father Mosey during the raising, a wonderful experience. Thank you everyone. Look for many more photos soon, as I’m just posting this quick.

What goes into a post and beam home you ask? Ok, you didn’t ask, but I’m going to tell you. The posts and the beams of course. Don’t forget the braces, connectors, plates, joists, the roof system which may be a structural timber ridge with purlins or rafters. What did I forget?
How about the thought? At Vermont Timber Works, we custom design each post and beam home. MUCH thought goes into each one, designing, drafting and engineering.

Post and Beam Horse Barn
Vermont Timber Works is very happy with this pretty post and beam horse barn. The upper story is engineered for hay, horse stalls and storage below, even a shed for the horse trailer.
Rough sawn native hemlock timbers with a clear sealer. Traditional joinery and a custom design, just gorgeous. Vermont Timber Works custom designs, engineers and hand crafts each post and beam project.
